Combat Grid

The Combat Grid is the foundational layout used during combat encounters. It consists of two opposing sides, each represented by a 3×4 grid. Players and enemies occupy the spaces on these grids, and combat takes place between the two sides.

Grid Layout & Structure

The Combat Grid is divided into two sides, each with three rows and four columns. Players will occupy one side, and enemies will occupy the other. Players nor enemies are allowed to cross into the other teams grid-space.

Rows

Each side has three rows, labeled Row 1 (Front), Row 2 (Middle), and Row 3 (Back). Certain weapons can only be used in certain rows, typically following this format:

  • Row 1 - Melee Attacks
  • Row 2 - Melee & Ranged Attacks
  • Row 3 - Ranged Attacks

Some weapons like the Sniper Rifle for example, can only be used within certain rows. Examples of this include, the Sniper Rifle only being able to attack from Row 3, and the Dagger can only attack from Row 1.

Tile Effectors

Blue Tiles: Represent allies, or friendly equipment.

Trap Tiles: These tiles are represented in orange and signify traps that players or enemies can lay down to inflict negative effects when triggered. Traps activate when a character moves over the tile or performs a specific action. Mechanical traps can be disarmed using the Defuse Skill, while magical traps can be disarmed with Dispel Magic.
