When a critical hit is rolled in combat, it triggers a roll on the Critical Injuries Table to determine the effectiveness of the critical hit. Critical hits always deal double damage in addition to the effects determined by the table.
A roll on the Critical Injury Table is triggered by the following events:
Injuries are classified as either Minor or Major:
Small injuries such as cuts, sprains, broken fingers, minor burns, etc.
Signifigant injuries such as deep gashes, broken bones, loss of limbs, major burns, etc.
When a player or NPC rolls a critical hit, either the player or the GM rolls 1d20. This roll determines the outcome listed in the table below.

10 | Minor Injury - Head -4 (INT), -4 (PER), -10 Max HP. |
11 | Minor Injury - Body -4 (STR), -10 Max HP. |
12 | Minor Injury - Arms -4 (AGI), -10 Max HP. Player is limited to one-handed actions; the other hand is disabled. |
13 | Minor Injury - Legs -4 (AGI), -10 Max HP. Movement reduced to 1 tile per round in combat, and slowed with a limp outside of combat. |
14 | Major Injury - Head -8 (INT), -8 (PER), -20 Max HP. Applies the Dazed and Bleeding status effects. |
15 | Major Injury - Body -8 (STR), -20 Max HP. Applies the Bleeding status effect. |
16 | Major injury - Arms -8 (AGI), -20 Max HP. Player is limited to one-handed actions; the other hand is disabled. Applies the Bleeding status effect. |
17 | Major Injury - Legs -8 (AGI), -20 Max HP. Applies the Immobilized and Bleeding status effects. |
18 | Loss of Limb - Arm Target loses their arm and suffers a Major Arm Injury. When the injury is healed, the target remains limited to one-handed actions until the arm is replaced. Lost limbs can be recovered by purchasing a bionetic replacement. |
19 | Loss of Limb - Leg Target loses their leg and suffers a Major Leg Injury. When the injury is healed, the target remains Immobilized until the leg is replaced. Lost limbs can be recovered by purchasing a bionetic replacement. |
20 | Fatal Strike Target instantly dies. |
Injuries cannot be healed by using traditional health consumables and require special attention.
