====== Affinity ====== ---- The Affinity System is a reputation mechanic that influences how players, NPCs, and factions interact with one another. Affinity is represented by a numerical value, providing a streamlined method to track in-game relationships. \\ **Managing Affinity** \\ By default, all NPCs and factions start at 0 (Neutral) affinity level. Players' decisions, actions, and interactions with the world will result in either gaining or losing affinity points. NPCs and factions will react to players based on their current affinity level with them, with higher affinity resulting in possitive impacts and low affinity resulting in negative impacts. **Functionality** \\ Affinity provides an easy and streamlined way to keep track of in-game relationships, affecting how a GM and party approach certain in-game situations. It is up to the GM to determine the increase or decrease in affinity levels based on the situation. **Party-Based Mechanic** \\ Affinity is a party-based mechanic. The actions of one party member impact the affinity level for the entire group, so it is crucial to make affinity-producing decisions collectively. **Affinity Scale** \\ Affinity is measured on a scale from -20 to 20, with 0 being neutral. The scale is divided into various levels, each indicating a different degree of relationship: |20 (Idolized)| |15 (Loved)| |10 (Liked)| |5 (Friendly)| |0 (Neutral)| |5 (Not Friendly)| |10 (Disliked)| |15 (Hated)| |20 (Vilified)|
